Sony Ericsson to release The PlayStation Phone (SE Zeus Z1) in March 2011
Word has it that Sony Ericsson has already finalized the release date of the much anticipated Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone or SE Zeus Z1. According to the sources, it is likely that the company will launch the phone in March, 2011.
If that’s true, get ready to see the phone making an appearance at Centrum der Büro- und Informationstechnik (CeBIT) 2011 in Germany and the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

It’s has also come out that the phone will have an ARM processor and will run on powerful Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The PlayStation Phone with 3.7’’ touchscreen will boast of an 8GB micro-SD card and is likely to have an inbuilt memory of 512 MB.
Sources also say the PlayStation has already been tested by on the Neocore benchmark by Qualcomm and the phone averaged at around 24.4 frames per second.
After the testing, Qualcomm has reportedly said that an average of 24.4 frames per second isn’t much compared to the 55.6 frames per second average for Nexus S.
Don’t get disheartened if you had expected a lot more from the device because both the software and hardware aren’t finalized yet so it won’t be a good idea to base your conclusions on this one single test only.
